Iron oxide
Iron oxide is a chemically produced mineral which, based on different oxidation steps, is coloured red, yellow or black. By mixing these colours, it is also possible to create various other colours, such as brown, green and orange. Iron oxide is permitted as E172 colourant for various uses in animal feeds.
