Vitacarb - 5/45/90
Vitacarb is a calcium carbonate used as a feed material. The product is registered under number 11.1.1 in the animal feed catalogue. The product has a high calcium content (91% CaCO3 and 36%Ca). Vitacarb is calcium from dead shellfish (coccoliths) that used to live in the sea but are now extracted from the land.
The amorphous structure of Vitacarb dissolves easily in the gastric juice, making it a quicker and more useful source of calcium (in comparison with the crystalline structure of most calcium sources). As well as a calcium source, the product can be used as free flower. The product is available in different particle sizes.
