Zeolite 4A
Zeolite 4A is a synthetically produced zeolite, which is perfect for binding calcium and is registered as a technological additive (E554) under the subgroup binders, anti-caking agents and coagulants. The product is a white fine powder with a porous structure.
This product has a strong affinity for calcium. For this reason, this product is mainly used to initiate the vitamin-D-dependent mechanism in heavily pregnant cows, which results in an ideal calcium balance around the time of calving. This results in the release of calcium prior to calving and makes the calcium from the feed available after calving. The product also has a preventive effect against milk fever and ketosis.
